After reading all of the warning about plastics I will begin to work through my cupboards today. I store a pretty good amount of food. Whether it is the LDS sister in law- or my need to control- it is stored. We don't use a lot of things that come in plastic....but it is worth the look.

I don't think you need to rush to convert to non-plastic materials. It's been a while since I researched the issue, but I believe the type of plastic (as indicated by a number on the container) is how you can tell if there's BPA in it. I'm trying to remember the numbers that are okay to keep and that you should get rid of but I can't! I know my original source wasn't Wikipedia, but it says types 2, 4 and 5 are probably mostly okay.
