Free Hallmark Card with free shipping!
Through May 4, 2009, you can send a FREE 5x7 paper card from Hallmark.com for any occasion! While this promotion was specifically created for Mother's Day, you do not have to send a Mother's Day card.
Go here and create a card up to $3.49 in value (excludes cards with sound and invitation/announcement cards). Personalize your card and add photos if you'd like. Then, when you go to check out enter the code CARD4MOM. You'll get the card for free plus shipping will be free as well.
If you don't have anyone you need to send a card to in the next few weeks, you can even order a card for a future date and have it scheduled to be sent then. How cool would that be for people like me who always forget to send cards until the event is almost past?!
It works and is wonderful. I will be visiting often!

Wild weather
The wild weather is here for spring. We spent the better part of Sunday in the basement. At least the four inches of rain helped bring in the lawn!

Easter
This will be our first Easter with no children around. My son is flying in Alabama. Maybe, soon, he will be on his way to flying other parts of the world. My daughter's family will be having an Easter Egg Hunt in the expanse of their common yard at their Fort. We will head downtown to Mass and listen to "the lady who sings off key" sing Easter songs. Maybe we will go early instead and hit the "sing it yourself" Mass. No matter. It will be a good day. We are truly blessed to be here. I cannot wait to get back to school!
The old oak waits silently, not yet sprung a green leaf. She waits for winter to really end. She knows that the ground she is in often has snow for the next few weeks and she is not willing to put out some green just to lose it.
Sounds a little bit like...me.

The busier I get ....
Things are moving quite quickly towards the end of the year. My mornings are filled with hastily put together PowerPoint after researching the content for several hours the night before. The first year in a curriculum is tough. Lots of work- even if the information is 1900 years old. Some great websites on Roman... http://www.caerleon.net/history/army/page2.html
