Wild weather

The wild weather is here for spring. We spent the better part of Sunday in the basement. At least the four inches of rain helped bring in the lawn!

There are flowers on the weeds in the grass. Is it time to plant?

No, You can still hear the creek flowing!

The apple tree has it's first blooms.

But the trees in the back have just had their first leaf buds.
Why worry when to plant? Our grandson is growing and he, and our children are the in season already!

It is almost here!

Easter

This will be our first Easter with no children around. My son is flying in Alabama. Maybe, soon, he will be on his way to flying other parts of the world. My daughter's family will be having an Easter Egg Hunt in the expanse of their common yard at their Fort. We will head downtown to Mass and listen to "the lady who sings off key" sing Easter songs. Maybe we will go early instead and hit the "sing it yourself" Mass. No matter. It will be a good day. We are truly blessed to be here. I cannot wait to get back to school!

The last burns of winter are piled and ready to be scorched.

The pasture is beginning to green. Buffalo grass has slowly taken over from the "planted grass" of the last owners. It is slow and steady.

The old oak waits silently, not yet sprung a green leaf. She waits for winter to really end. She knows that the ground she is in often has snow for the next few weeks and she is not willing to put out some green just to lose it.

Sounds a little bit like...me.

The busier I get ....

Things are moving quite quickly towards the end of the year. My mornings are filled with hastily put together PowerPoint after researching the content for several hours the night before.
