What am I doing

Woke up at 3 am. Yesterday was pure:/----- in the classroom. Can't sleep....
So here I am writing?
Better get to bed. I only have an hour before I have to get up- again!

The path down to the house is always beautiful this time of year. Why do you think there is always about four trees who do not leaf until all the rest are through?
I love this tree's first leaves. They start as red hearts and turn green within a week.

Six hours until the grocery store

Every Saturday my husband jumps out of bed to make it to the store when it opens at seven am. He hates to shop, but feels I never get what he needs when I shop, so we go together. I LOVE to sleep on the weekends. It refreshes me. I could spend all day Saturday in my jammies, gazing out the window, playing in the garden (we don't have neighbors), working the budget, making plans.
Nope, Saturday at 7 am is shopping time.
I have "wasted my evening" writing papers and reading blogs... 7am will come and I won't be ready.
I have to admit, I do love this guy!

What is the best thing that your state makes under fifty dollars?

I am collecting ideas. If you could think of one thing that your state does well, tell me about it.

Death and taxes- the two sure things in the USA....well for some.
I am griping today.
I am tired of paying for small business breaks. Parts of houses, autos with signs on them, "conventions", write offs of computers and every office supply possible, breaks for hiring more people-but charging the client more, complaints about public systems that use their services.
In general, I am tired of it.
Flat tax I say.
When I pay more taxes than a friend who owns a business and only earns "$20,000 a year" but belongs to every major club, has ball park tickets for the family, has every new surgery and drives a large "truck" with an advertising sign....FLAT TAX!
No more writing off home loans, business debt, bad debt or tuition as charity.
Flat tax.
And to the person who was sad that they could have spent their inherited money differently- go to an accountant for your own estate. There are ways around everything if you plan and there is not a FLAT TAX!

The flowers are everywhere- but I cannot find my cameras....
It is 80 today.
The front flower bed is almost finished.
Dh has six more weeks of work and school ends in about seven weeks.
We are in Rome right now. The students have taken off in research.
My sister is moving this next week.
Ah- another year of life!
